FORMER Newcastle United winger Laurent Robert could be gracing Singapore's local football league in the near future.
The New Paper has learnt that defending S-League champions Etoile FC are filing the necessary paperwork with the Football Association of Singapore to obtain the 36-year-old French footballer's International Transfer Certificate.
Although the club declined to comment on the Robert's signing, the former Magpies ace - who is a free agent and currently training with Paris St Germain - can be signed once the transfer window opens on June 13 and make his S-League debut on June 15 against Tanjong Pagar United.
