Albirex Niigata (Singapore) are inviting fans of both themselves and Gombak United to turn Jurong East Stadium into a sea of orange and red when the two sides meet on 11 April 2011 in the Great Eastern-YEO’S S.League.
In a one-for-one ticket promotion for the league’s first derby match between the two Jurong-based teams, an Albirex fan who is wearing orange clothing or carrying any object that is orange in colour can purchase two match tickets for the price of one by bringing a friend to the ticketing booth at the stadium.
The promotion will begin at 1815hrs and last until 2025hrs, which is five minutes before the start of the second half.
Fans of Gombak can enjoy a similar privilege if they wear any red clothing or carry any object that is red in colour.
In addition, Albirex will be setting up donation boxes around the stadium to raise donations that will go towards the Japan earthquake disaster relief effort through the Singapore Red Cross Society.
One of the donation boxes will be set up at a special booth for Canon Singapore Pte Ltd, which is located at the South Entrance at Jurong East Stadium.
Spectators who make donations there will receive, as a special gift, prints of photographs taken at Jurong derby matches held in 2010. These gifts are limited in number and will be presented on a first-come-first-serve basis.
