Sun, 10 Jul 2011 Dejan Gluscevic’s Singapore NFA U-15 side made it two wins on the trot with a 5-0 win over Philippines at the AFF U16 tournament held in Vientiane Laos.
Building on the success of their group B opening match against Vietnam where they won by a similar margin, the cubs forced their opponents on the back foot from the get go.
Defender Sadik Said scored the opener in the 22nd minute to cap his second goal of the tournament before his central defensive partner, R Aaravin made it a comfortable 2-0 lead going into the break.
Right winger Zulfadhmi Suzliman made it three in the 55th minute before playmaker Adam Swandi capitalized two minutes later to score the Cubs’ fourth goal of the match.
Fullback Mahathir Azeman rounded things off when he put the ball into the back of the net in the 85th minute.
With two 5-0 wins in their opening two games, the Cubs will next take on Myanmar next on 14 July 2011.
