04:46 AM Mar 31, 2011 The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) are looking at ways to help former national under-23 goalkeeper Siddiq Durimi.
The 22-year-old, who has missed training sessions with Home United since early March, had his contract terminated by the club with effect from March 24, according to a report in The Straits Times yesterday.
Speaking on the sidelines of the FAS annual general meeting yesterday, football chief Zainudin Nordin said: "Every player is important to us as our talent pool is small. We will look into how we can help him."
Zainudin did not reveal any details. The situation surrounding Siddiq is unclear, with some in the football fraternity saying he is facing financial difficulties. Shamir Osman
