Source

TWO friendly matches, one gala dinner, a host of S-League and international stars, and one ultimate aim - to raise funds for the Japanese earthquake and tsunami relief efforts.

The S-League and Albirex Niigata Singapore have jointly organised a gala fund-raising dinner and a charity football match next week.

Under the banner of S-League Cares. Take Action! With Albirex Niigata Singapore, the dinner will be held at Resorts World Sentosa next Friday.

The following day, the S-League All- Stars will take on a Albirex Singapore Selection side at Jalan Besar Stadium.

The match will be graced by former Japan internationals Hidetoshi Nakata, Hiroshi Nanami, Masakiyo Maezono and Tsuyoshi Kitazawa.

In another charity event, S-League champions Etoile FC will play AFF Suzuki Cup champions Malaysia in a friendly match at 8pm at Jalan Besar Stadium on Saturday.

Tickets are priced at $6 (adult) and $2 (student/senior citizen) and will be on sale on match day at the stadium from 7pm onwards.

Fans who purchased tickets to watch the S-League match between Courts Young Lions and Albirex Niigata, which kicks off at 5pm, can stay on to watch the Etoile vs Malaysia charity game. All proceeds raised from the fund-raising events will go into supporting the Japanese earthquake and tsunami relief efforts.
