SINGAPORE OFFER: Daniel comes off his three year contract with the Phoenix at the end of A league season.
Brazilian midfielder Daniel might be waving goodbye to the Phoenix.
The popular player has flown out today for talks with a Singapore club.
A Phoenix club spokesman said Daniel approached club coach Ricki Herbert yesterday asking for a clearance to explore the Singapore offer.
''He's gone to Singapore today to have a look at the situation and will be back Wednesday,'' the Phoenix spokesman said.
''After that the club will discuss with him where things stand.
''Daniel asked Ricki if he could have a look and Ricki said 'certainly'. He is due back Wednesday because we leave Thursday (to play league leaders Central Coast).''
Daniel comes off his three year contract with the Phoenix at the end of A league season.
He is one of the club's highest paid players but is used largely as a substitute and if he stays is almost certainly in line for a reduced contract.
He has started eight of the Phoenix's 21 A-League matches this season.
Daniel, 32, was signed by Herbert in 2007. He was granted New Zealand citizenship in 2008. He made his 100th appearance for the Phoenix in the game against Newcastle Jets on January of this year.
