SINGAPORE - A spectacular diving header in injury time from Agu Casmir earned the LionsXII a 3-3 draw against Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) Football Club 3-3 in a pre-season friendly at the Petaling Jaya City Council Stadium in Petaling Jaya last night.
Shaiful Esah's third-minute free-kick put the LionsXII ahead, but ATM equalised with a penalty in the second half.
The home side looked to have sealed the win when they struck twice towards the end to lead 3-1, but Agu then pulled a goal back to make it 3-2 on 84 minutes before his last-gasp strike in time added on.
The fixture is a tune-up to the upcoming 2012 Malaysia Super League (MSL) season, which the LionsXII will open against defending league champions Kelantan at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Jan 10.
This was the LionsXII's third pre-season friendly - they lost 3-2 to Johor last Saturday and drew 1-1 with newly-promoted PKNS on Wednesday - and will play their fourth pre-season friendly against Johor FC next Wednesday at the Jalan Besar Stadium.
Entry is free-of-charge, although 400 seats will be allocated to visiting Johor FC fans via the East gate.
Meanwhile, the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) have released the confirmed fixture list for the 2012 MSL season.
Among the key matches to look out for are the two fixtures against Kelantan on Jan 10 and away in Kota Baru on May 4, and the clashes against old rivals Selangor at the Bukit Jalil Stadium on Feb 7 and at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Mar 20.
The LionsXII will also face UiTM FC in the first round of the Malaysia Cup in Shah Alam on Feb 18.
