Singapore - Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) vice-president Datuk Hamidin bin Haji Mohd Amin announced earlier today that the Malaysian Super-League (MSL) will kick off on Jan 10 and end on Jul 14, with a charity shield between league champs Kelantan and Malaysia cup winners Negri Sembilan held on Jan 7.
The Malaysian FA cup will kick off on Feb 18, with the final match played on May 19.
The storied Malaysia Cup will commence on Aug 20, and the Malaysian domestic season will end with the final of the competition on Nov 3.
V Sundramoorthy's LionsXII side will face Malaysian third tier team Universiti Teknologi MARA FC (UiTM) in the first round of the Malaysian FA cup.
This was decided at the draw for Malaysian domestic football competitions at the Grand Bluewave Hotel in Shah Alam this afternoon.
The draw for the Malaysian Super League was also conducted, but with a few clubs' home stadiums closed for renovation, the fixture list will be decided after an official meeting this evening at 6.30pm.
The LionsXII side will face either Malaysian second tier side Betaria FC or third tier team Malacca FA in the second round of the FA Cup should they get past UiTM.
They face the possibility of facing Malaysian Super League giants Trengganu in the latter stages of the competition.
