After going down to Myanmar in their last AFF Under-16 Youth Championship Group B match, The Singapore NFA U-15 side rallied together to beat Cambodia U-16 in a convincing manner.
Khairuddin Bin Omar opened the account for the Cubs in the 7th minute, before Muhammad Azhar Bin Ramli made it 2-0 in the 34th minute. Adam Swandi then put the Singapore side 3-0 ahead with a goal four minutes later.
Coming back on field for the second half, the Cubs stuck to their attacking game plan to extend their three-goal lead and were duely rewarded with a goal from Azhar in the 76th minute. The final score board read Singapore NFA U-15 4-0 Cambodia U-16.
The Singapore NFA U-15 side finished second in their group and will progress to the Semi-Final stage where they will face Thailand U-16. The Semi-Final will be played on the 18th of July 2011, 5pm at the National Sports Complex, Vientiane.
